| Description | A lovely classic looking ketch with comfortable accommodation. The Ta Chiao yachts built in Taiwan have a reputation for strong construction and combined with a long keel and heavy displacement they make a serious bluewater liveaboard yacht. This example benefits from a nearly new 54hp Yanmar engine and much work has recently been carried out by her current owner and represents excellent value for money at this reduced price.
GRP hull and teak laid decks with wooden pilot house and coachroof construction, much of which has recently been replaced with double marine ply. Very roomy cockpit with large lazarettes and central wheel steering behind the mizzen mast. On entering the pilot house there is a nav area to starboard with inside helm position. To port is the secure galley with gas cooker (new), fridge etc and beneath the floor is the excellent 54hp Yanmar engine. Going forward you descend some steps in to the saloon with a ‘U’ shaped seating area to port around the saloon table and a straight settee to starboard. There is excellent stowage above and behind the settee backs. Forward of the saloon there is a walkthrough to the double forecabin with a good sized heads / shower compartment to port and stowage to starboard. New foam in forecabin and saloon cushions re-upholstered. A practical liveaboard yacht, the large bow sprit and gracious lines give her a classic ketch feel. |
