Conceived by yachtsman and farmer, Guy Goodbody of Inverness, designed by Angus Primrose and the builder, and built between 1xxxxxxxx. The hull was lofted by McGruers who also laminated the stem and heavy frames. Brazilian mahogany planking, with steamed oak timber frames. 4 ton iron ballast keel, with stainless steel bolts, and massive oak floors. Solid straight laid teak decks, caulked and payed between varnished teak coverboards. Centre coah roof in varnished teak coamings, with sliding hatch. 10' bowsprit. The vessel took some 5300 hours of labour to build. |
