| Description | Sparkman and Stephens recommended naval architect Ed Burnett of Burnett Yacht Design, Totnes, who carried out design work to COMETA and ARGYLE. They commissioned Ed in late 2005. David Walkey of Gweek Quay Boatyard carried out the rebuild under the supervision of David Cox, a well respected marine surveyor. David Walkey carried out the rebuild of COMETA and recently ARGYLE both well known Sparkman and Stephens yachts. Olin Stephens visited David at the relaunch of COMETA, on which he was working. CAPER was a complete redesign and rebuild with all the latest equipment. The yacht was taken back to a bare hull and deck. The hull interior was then given a new layer of laminate prior to the interior fit out. The exterior of the vessel was then reconstructed to plan specification of Ed Burnett. New masts and rigging from A2 Rigging in Falmouth, all the necessary Raymarine navigation equipment, teak decks from Moody Decks, new sails and AIS etc. CAPER comes with a brand new dingy and outboard. In total over 400K was spent of the project.
