Accommodation:
The quality of the original fit out is clear when you enter the saloon. Excellent joinery, top quality fittings, with a light and airy feel to the cabins with full headroom available throughout. Forward Cabin
The forward cabin is accessed through the wheelhouse via two steps. There are two large single berths with stowage beneath. Outboard of each berth and across the forward bulkhead are full length shelves. There is locker stowage beneath the berths, and 2 drawers and a large cupboard aft of the port berth. Extra thick berth cushions provide comfortable mattresses. An infill is provided to make a large double by inserting a "V" shaped table with a berth cushion, between the single berths. Portholes are on each side of the cabin, with an escape hatch in the roof. 12 volt lighting and roof vents are fitted. Right forward is a hatch into the (anchor) cable locker. Heads
Coming aft on the starboard side is the heads (toilet compartment), with a manual sea toilet. In the after outboard corner is a wash basin with vanity unit below. On the after bulkhead is a panel giving access to the hydraulic steering mechanism and instruments of the helm position in the wheelhouse above. A 12 volt light, an opening porthole and a roof vent are fitted. Opposite the heads is a full length hanging locker which also has stowage for the cockpit table which doubles as the infill for the forward cabin berth. Wheelhouse
Stepping up to the wheelhouse the helm position is to starboard and comprises of a single seat (which folds forward to provide a padded backrest to the dinette) with a comprehensive set of engine and navigation instruments on a console below the windscreen. Below the console is the electrics panel with circuit breakers, and the VHF radio. Visibility is excellent through the two part windscreen and deep sliding side windows. Below the seat is a useful cave locker. The navigator is to port, again the seat folds forward, in this case to expose the draining board for the galley. Aft of the two seats the galley lies to port and a dinette to starboard. The galley is fitted with a stainless steel sink and draining board (pressurised hot and cold water), with hinged worktop above, and a mains electric grill and toaster (a double burner gas stove with grill, complete with gas cylinder, is available to refit if desired). Beneath are lockers for glasses, crockery, drawers for cutlery, and a 240v/12v refrigerator. The dinette to starboard has a folding table which can lowered to provide a fill-in for the bunk. The backrest on the ship's side can be raised, and suspended from chains, to provide another bunk. Beneath the seats are lockers for additional stowage. In the well beneath the table are the battery isolator switches set in a side panel and below a floor panel the mains powered battery charging device with appropriate circuit breakers. The wheelhouse has deep side opening windows which ensure it is fresh and airy. The door to the cockpit also has an opening window. Set in the deck are hatches giving access to fuel cocks, waste cocks and electric bilge pump etc.
