Description	This classic boat was built in 1900 in honour of Sir George Pilkington, Mayor of Southport and physician to Southport Hospital. Previously owned and rebuilt by Fred Turner, joiner, "Pilkington was sailed extensively in North Wales as far as Barmouth. She is a good sea boat and very fast under sail. "Pilkington" has been a regular entry in the Nobby races in Liverpool (coming second in 2008) and Conwy. The hull is built out of pine on oak and the deck and superstructure is pine. The mast is of douglas fir.
