The Moody 64 is a remarkably powerful boat, fully capable of fast passage times across the full range of conditions. Her stunning performance derives from the Bill Dixon's latest generation hull shape balances the power of the underwater sections and lead keel with the tall, high aspect ratio, hydraulically powered fully furling cutter rig with self-tacking stay sail. Despite her size, the Moody 64 is easily handled by two people. Sail controls and deck handling systems are powered and controlled from the cockpit with its twin steering wheels, padded helm seats and integrated instrument and engine consoles. The high level of specification also includes a 15hp bow thruster, chart plotter and generator.

Deck
Swept teak laid ring deck plus for'd and after coachroof areas. Deck stiffened with balsa core, with plywood backing pads in way of deck fittings. Deck edge incorporates raised bulwark with teak cap rail. Inset cavita line in topsides. Full hull respray using Awlgrip - October 2008 Hull stiffened by bonded in bulkheads plus frames and stringers Underwater sections from stem to keel further stiffened by utilising an Aramid (Kevlar) laminate to increase impact resistance Hull colour - Awlgrip Corinthian Blue Transom includes powered hinging transom door/swimming platform

Sailing Systems
Electric powered self tailing genoa sheet winches (Lewmar 66CEST). Electric powered  sheet and mainsail outhaul winch (Lewmar 58CEST). Cockpit
The sailing systems of this yacht are designed to allow everything to be managed from the cockpit. Twin helm position with integrated helmsman seating complete with removable padded seats and back rests. Steering based on Whitlock Mamba rod and gearbox installation. Helm position incorporates twin steering compasses, autopilot integrated with Whitlock Mamba gearbox and autopilot displays on both helm positions. Instrument displays for sailing instrumentation (speed, depth, and wind speed/direction). Engine instrument panel and control. Bow thruster control. Radar/plotter repeater. Hydraulic controls for furling rig and head stays. Separate hydraulic panel for backstays and vang. Large cockpit table with fridge for drinks storage etc (new compressor and cold plate installed July 2008). Cockpit sole and seats finished in teak. Also padded removable seating and backrests through out cockpit.

Accomodation
General At the forward peak there is a crew cabin with 2 berths. To port there is a large double guest cabin with spacious en-suite head and separate shower compartment. To starboard there is a cabin with 2 bunk beds. After this starboard cabin there is a head with a separate shower compartment which also doubles as a day head. The saloon, galley and navigation station are situated mid-ships. The galley is starboard side (aft) and the navigation station is portside (aft) with the area forward comprising of saloon table and seating areas. To access the aft master suite, one passes through an office with a Pullman bunk, leading then into the voluminous owners stateroom, with a large en-suite head and separate shower compartment. Interior joinery is in teak with a satin finish. Saloon Large c-shaped settee to port side recently refurbished in 2008 to a very high standard with premium Italian leather (colour: light sand), the settee surrounds an extending leaf dining table. There is generous storage space beneath settee. Built in 2-seater settee to starboard also refurbished in July 2008, with draw space underneath. Above the settees are topside lockers with hull windows between. Hi-fi system integrated in 1 port locker, plus DVD player. Flat screen TV retracts into furniture.
