| Extras | All frames, keel, deadwood, beams, gunnels, longitudinal and transverse stiffeners are laminated African mahogany.
Hull planking is 25mm African mahogany strips, 3 layers of African mahogany veneers and a layer of 220gr/sqm biaxial glass. The glass on the inside of the hull is up to the water-line.
The bulkheads are Airex foam/Marine plywood sandwich.
Deck is 2 layers of 12mm Marine plywood with 12mm of Burmese teak glued and caulked with Sikaflex.
The spars are laminated Oregon pine and are currently in a workshop being revarnished for the 2010 season.
Epoxy used is SP106 and paint systems from Awl-Grip.
The interior is also African mahogany and marine plywood in a combination of white and varnished surfaces. |
