Description'Alcedo', Contest 48CS Built in 1999, hull no.127, by Conyplex in Holland, to Dick Zaal and Georg Nissen designs. GRP hull newly sprayed in AwlGrip 'Majestic' dark blue with silver stripes, teak deck, round bilged hull, wing keel, rudder in skeg, acrylic windows. Fuel tanks (s/s): 580 lt; Freshwater tanks (2 x s/s) 375 lt each; wastewater tank. Whitlock rod steering, steering wheel with quick release and emergency tiller.

Sail rigCutter rig, Proctor Hydro aluminium stowaway main mast in AWL Grip H8010 Oyster white, Reckman genoa and cutter hydraulic reefing system, Lewmar Commander hydraulic pump. Navtec hydraulic backstayadjuster, Proctor B heavy duty boomvang, boom with cockpit light and dimmer. Spectra running backstays. Genoa halyard and sheets.
Cruiser accommodationClassic teak Interior, large comfortable saloon area with navigation corner with leather seat and galley in passageway. Upholstery renewed July 2011 (photos are of previous upholstery). 3 x double cabins: double centreline berth in aft cabin with sprung slats, ensuite heads (Sealand vacuum toilet) and separate shower cubicle, double berth forward and 2 single bunk berths in side cabin and separate heads (Jabsco, new pump 2009) and shower cubicle. All berths have pocket spring mattresses and lee cloths. Headroom 1.98m. Webasto DW-90 heating / hot water system. Cruisair air conditioning : self contained unit in saloon (12000BTU) and in aft cabin (7000BTU). Extra 220V plugs. All hatches have roller blinds and all opening portholes have mosquito nets. Galley in passage to aft cabin has Corian worktops, 3 x drawer refrigerator with freezing unit, separate –18C freezer, microwave, 3 x burner Force 10 gas cooker with oven. Hot & cold pressuried water system (pump replaced 2008). Assa safe. Pioneer radio/CD with 4 x speakers & CD changer, cockpit speakers & remote control.

Hurth gearbox, indirect cooling, s/s propeller shaft, Gori self adjusting 20”, 3 x blade propeller, Rope-cutter on prop shaft, 3 x blade spare propeller. Sleipner bowthruster 24V/15HP, Perkins spare parts kit, Cesaflex fire-extinguish system in insulated engine room. Perkins alternator 105A, Panda 5.5kw generator (Lifted out and armature rewound, 630 hours run Sept. 2009), well insulated and exhaust water separator for low noise. Victron combi 12v/40a/1500w Battery charger+inverter, digital AC amperemeter. Hubble shore power with 15m. cable. Dedicated gel batteries for engine, generator and bowthruster (3 no.
