| Description | Wright International Ltd has for sale a converted MFV that is in live in or sail away condition. The boat was launched during 1966 in Scotland whilst the Beatles were on the stage and England was winning the World Cup. It was on 1st May 1966 that the Beatles performed there last ever UK concert and England has never won the World Cup since. However, this boat has been fishing almost every day in the North Sea before being converted into the spacious, comfortable cruising houseboat that it is today. The engine starts first time, every time without a puff of smoke from the exhaust. The hull has been re-spiked and re-calked less than 2 years ago and today can cruise at under 2 gallons per hour @ 7 knots. The accommodation includes berths for 6 onboard and has many luxuries onboard including 19 inch TV, DVD player, stereo system and more. The boat is currently based near Glasgow in Scotland. However, we are able to deliver this boat worldwide. For delivery within the UK, the owner is even willing to discuss sailing the boat to it's new home port either with you or for you. At only 2 gallons per hour fuel consumption, the delivery will cost much less than you think. |

| Cruiser accommodation | This boat would be an ideal liveaboard for a single person or a young couple. The main forward cabin now boasts a very comfortable double bed where you could easily relax either as a weekend cruiser, or as your permanent home. You can also have guests stay in the 2 coffin bunks although we suggest you refrain from telling them the name of these bunks! Alternatively, these bunks make great storage areas, especially if you plan to use the boat as a cruising houseboat. The main saloon would be a great place to chill out regardless of the weather outside. In hot summer nights you can open the windows for ventilation and let in all the natural light as well. Come the winter nights, the saloon offers a 6kw solid fuel stove. Regardless of the weather, you will always have access to your 19 LCD TV with built in free view, DVD player and even a small stereo system as well. The galley consists of a four burner hob and grill as well as a three way fridge that currently runs off 240v at present. When we asked the owner to be honest with us, is there anything onboard needing repaired or replaced. The owner has been a friend of ours for a number of years and has always been honest with us when it comes to his boat. In the owners opinion, the only thing needing attention is the oven. The oven works fine but the seal isnt too great and he would recommend either changing the oven or even replacing it with a microwave oven. Before you view the boat, we would like to highlight one detail that for many will not be an issue, but for some it could be. The forward cabin and the main saloon is seperated by the engine compartment. In order for you to get from one to the other you have to pass through this compartment. The headroom in the engine room is around 5ft. Most people will not find this an issue since you only make that trip a few times per day. Others actually like features like this as it gives the boat more character. |
| Navigation | The wheelhouse on this boat is believed to be the original wheelhouse from when the boat was fishing the North Sea. Most of us can only imagine the weather this boat faced but that is why the wheelhouse was built so strong. How many of us have fences, huts, garages or similar that is close to 40 years old and they didnt see a fraction of the weather this boat did! When you inspect the wheelhouse up close you will realise the boat is ready for another 40 year cruising either inshore or offshore. The navigation equipment thankfully isnt original and includes a GPS Plotter, Icom VHF and more. |
