This Maramu is very carefully maintained by its current owner. In 2006, for example, the entire underwater hull has been stripped and provided with a complete epoxy system and the hull is entirely repainted in 2-component paint. Furthermore, in 2004, the perspex windows of the steering house and the electric anchor winch are replaced. In 2001, the diesel engine has been totally overhauled. Typical to the Amel Maramu is the fixed steering house with a large and well protected central placed cockpit. From here the helmsman has a perfect overview behind the steering wheel. All the necessary equipment is clearly visible placed here as well. In the cockpit is more than sufficient space for all crewmembers. The decks are, like on every Amel, fitted with very practical synthetic teak and easy accessible. At the back, the inflateble life-boat is placed.
